Erika Lee

Erika Lee’s core beliefs of makeup were sprouted from a seed planted by her father many years ago. Her father, an artist in his own right, pulled her to the side during her teenage makeup menagerie of mistakes and said to her; “Erika, all women have beauty and the idea of makeup is to enhance the natural beauty, not hide the women. The women should be seen before the makeup.” That statement is the foundation of how Erika approaches every client!

Erika is a San Diego based makeup artist who specializes in bringing a personal approach to makeup application. Erika began her career as an interior designer and spent her downtime shooting photography, which eventually led her to makeup artistry. The photographer in her was filled with ideas that she wanted to bring to life, yet was stifled with lack of makeup artistry skill. With her dive all in attitude, she embarked upon the journey of makeup certification. Life sometimes has it’s own surprises and her love of makeup artistry conquered her love of photography and she has never looked back.

Her creativity and determination led her to makeup certification, and upon completion she was excitedly thrust on set of a feature film. This film experience was a crash course that left her exhilarated. It also confirmed she had found her passion. Her creative loves were culminating. She quickly learned that whether she worked film, runway, catalogue or bridal, she was thriving! She learned her true catalyst was connecting with people and helping them shine with the artistry of makeup.

Erika is a MAC trained MUA who is certified in both hands on artistry and airbrushing. She excels at communicating with the client to be sure to create an end result that will always be beautiful and timeless. Whether helping a West Coast (or destination) bride, conducting makeup tutorials, working on set or a photo shoot, Erika is dedicated to creating an experience that allows the client to feel amazing in their own skin.

Christina Farrell

So, about me. Let’s start from the beginning. “Hello, my name is Christina and I am a makeup junkie”. It’s been a sick problem since I was 14 and my mom took me to the Clinique counter. Due to my Italian/Scottish heritage my fair skin is riddled with dark under eye circles (thanks dad!). Not a good combo. After a lot of tears and a ton of begging, my mom succumbed to buying me my first makeup. Clinique Continuous Coverage Concealer and Simply Mauve Lipstick. I was in HEAVEN, and officially hooked on makeup. In one fell swoop, my circles were covered up, and I could whip out my big girl lipstick at a moments notice.

I think beauty comes from many things, and makeup is there to help you feel prettier and give you the confidence to strut your amazing self down the street. If you love blue eyeshadow, than rock on with your bad self. But, if you have a question, then venture out into the cyber space world and ask me. I won’t tell you to throw away your beloved cherry red lipstick, but I might advise you to wear it on it’s own, and not with that fabulous blue eye shadow.

As long as you wear a big smile on your face and attempt to laugh as much as possible I am sure you will glow. Learning to find the humor in life and laugh is half the battle. It’s the only beauty secret I truly believe in. No amount of shimmer powder can ever fix a sad face. Believe me, I’ve tried.

I could have bought a house with all the money I’ve spent on makeup and skincare. Boy’s and their toys…me and my makeup. I have been lucky enough to now make this passion my career. I have over 15 years of experience as a freelance makeup artist and industry expert working in all aspects of the business, including fashion, film, television and print. My time in the makeup artistry field has led me to work on diverse projects such as music videos for Nashville Capitol records, work with CNN, the NFL channel, the Sci-Fi network and events such as the St. Jude Runway for Life, and NY Fashion Week. My artistry has been seen at movie premieres, as well as the Emmy and Oscar award ceremonies. Some of my advertising clientele has included work with Jenny Craig, and Gucci, and my celebrity clients include Carrie Fisher, Julie Christie, Valerie Bertinelli, Jason Alexander, Debi Mazar, and Emmitt Smith.

My most recent projects includes an on-air guest spot on TLC’s What Not To Wear, helping to create a new modern makeup look for Miss America, and as a reoccurring on air makeup expert on the E! Entertainment morning show That Morning Show.
